Master of Laws (LL.M.)

Der Master of Laws (LL.M.) ist ein rechtswissenschaftlicher Aufbaustudiengang, der für deutsche Studenten nach dem ersten juristischen Staatsexamen bzw. Bachelor möglich ist. Zwar ist der LL.M. nicht als Äquivalent zum zweiten Staatsexamen zu sehen, dennoch gilt er heutzutage als gern gesehene Zusatzqualifikation für viele angehende Rechtswissenschaftler.

Dank hervorragender Betreuung und flexibler akademischer Strukturen erfreuen sich die juristischen Aufbaustudiengänge besonders in Australien großer Beliebtheit. Die Vertiefungsrichtungen  der LL.M. Für das LL.M. Studium in Australien muss das erste juristische Staatsexamen absolviert und ein Sprachtest (TOEFL oder IELTS) bestanden sein. Manche Universitäten akzeptieren auch einen rechtswissenschaftlichen Fachhochschulabschluss. Einige der Studiengänge sind speziell für Studenten oder Berufstätige aus anderen Fachbereichen, die sich zusätzlich juristische Kenntnisse aneignen wollen.

Die Dauer der meisten LL.M. Programme in Australien umfasst ein Studienjahr, an der Bond University kann der LL.M. sogar in neun Monaten abgeschlossen werden.
