Was beinhaltet der Fachbereich Ingenieurswissenschaften?

Im Bereich Engineering (Ingenieurswissenschaften) wird sich in erster Linie mit sämtlichen Aspekten der Technik befasst. Der Fokus liegt auf Forschung & Entwicklung, Konstruktion, Produktion und Prüfung von Produkten und Technologien.Ein Master im Bereich Engineering bietet Ingenieuren und technischen Fachleuten die Möglichkeit, die Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten, die sie in ihrem Bachelor Studiengang erworben haben, zu vertiefen und gleichzeitig ihre Management- und Fachkenntnisse zu erweitern.
Studierenden können in verschiedenen Hauptfächern ihr Wissen vertiefen oder neues Wissen  erwerben. Daher wird in der Regel ein fester Schwerpunkt (Major) gewählt, der aber auch teilweise durch ein Nebenfach (Minor) ergänzt werden.

Zulassungsbedingungen

In der Regel wird für die Zulassung im Bereich Engineering ein Bachelor in einem ähnlichen Bereich gefordert, in den meisten Fällen mit einer Regelstudienzeit von vier Jahren.
Teilweise akzeptieren die Universitäten auch dreijährige Bachelorabschlüsse. Einige Universitäten erkennen mehrjährige Arbeitserfahrung in einem ähnlichen Berufsfeld für die Zulassung an.
